Our Scholars

We are proud to host a remarkable group of students and scholars from the following programs:

Research and Mentorship Program (RAMP) for African-American and Latinx Medical Students
The HIV Vaccine Trials Network, in collaboration with the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, is investing in the next generation of HIV prevention researchers by providing African American and Latinx medical students with opportunities for independent research along with structured mentoring, project and salary funding, training, and professional development activities through the Research and Mentorship Program (RAMP).

Summer HIV/AIDS Research Program (SHARP)
SHARP (Summer HIV/AIDS Research Program) is an innovative 12-week paid summer mentored internship and learning experience designed to inspire students from underrepresented communities to pursue further studies and careers in public health-oriented clinical, socio-behavioral, and community-focused research. Funded through a grant from the National Institute of Health, SHARP is housed in the San Francisco Department of Public Health.
